Nuphar lutea, the yellow water-lily, brandy-bottle, or spadderdock, is an aquatic plant of the family Nymphaeaceae, native to northern temperate cold climates and grows from Canada to Florida. It is in flower from July to August. The species is hermaphrodite (has both male and female organs) and is pollinated by Flies.
